kageroumado Releases Rilmazafone, a Visual Designer for Signed macOS DMG Installers

Rilmazafone is a Mac app for designing DMG disk image installers on a WYSIWYG canvas that mirrors the mounted Finder window, then building a signed disk image in one click. Open source, available on the Mac App Store.

On February 20, 2026, kageroumado released Rilmazafone, a macOS application for designing and building DMG disk image installers. Rilmazafone arrived on the Mac App Store on July 20, 2026.

A disk image is often the first thing a user sees of a Mac application. Rilmazafone lays it out on a canvas that mirrors the mounted Finder window exactly, including icon size, grid and window bounds, so the design matches what users will see when they open the image. Guides snap icons to centers, thirds and neighboring items.

Backgrounds are built from layers of images, gradients or solid colors, with color adjustments, vignette, bloom, and linear or radial variable blur previewed live. Styled text and SF Symbols can be composited into the background, and per-icon frosted glass panels keep file names legible on any image.

A single Build command produces the finished disk image in UDZO, UDBZ, LZFSE or LZMA format, on HFS+ or APFS, signed with a code-signing identity from the user's keychain.
