Privacy Policy
Effective July 13, 2026
The short version: Dantrolene does not collect, store, or transmit any personal data. Period.
Location access
macOS requires Location Services permission for any app that reads the name (SSID) of the WiFi network you are connected to. Dantrolene requests this permission for exactly one purpose: comparing the current network name against the home network you designated, entirely on your Mac. Your location, network names, and any other information never leave your device.
No data collection
The app has no analytics, no telemetry, no crash reporting, and no advertising or tracking identifiers. There is nothing to opt out of, because nothing is collected in the first place.
No network access
Dantrolene makes no network connections of any kind — there is no server to talk to. The App Store edition additionally runs inside the macOS App Sandbox.
Data stored locally
Your settings (chosen mode, home network name, display sleep timeout) are stored in the app's standard preferences on your Mac and can be removed by deleting the app.
No accounts
The app requires no sign-in and has no server.
Changes to this policy
If a future version ever changes any of this, this page will be updated first and the change will be called out in the release notes. Given that the app has no network access at all, significant changes are unlikely.
